I visited Corwin Ford recently, not to purchase a vehicle but to have a service done on my vehicle. While I was waiting for my service to be completed I was greeted by Joseph, one of the salesmen. He was not only tall dark and handsome but he was very kind as well. Even though I was upfront about not making a purchase and being there only for a service he still took the time to show me to the customer lounge where I could help myself to drinks, snacks, and a seat inside out of the summer heat. I was very impressed at how polite he was as a salesman making most if not all of his money off of sales commission that he still took the time out to be hospitable though he did not stand to benefit from the interaction at all. In the future when I am ready to purchase I will return to Corwin Ford based on this interaction alone. It was nice to be treated like a person rather than dollar sign, that’s not a typical salesperson interaction. So while I can’t speak too much to the buying experience just yet I can say the customer service experience was top tier. Thanks Joseph!

Although i only went to look, Joseph was very helpful. I didn’t feel pushed or coerced into signing any paperwork or getting into a car that particular day. Which for me, is a first. He is very knowledgeable of each model. I will make sure to return when I’m finally ready.

Ed was incredibly kind and helpful in the process of purchasing my used car from Corwin Ford. He jumped through hoops to help get it to the Cadillac dealer for battery testing and was patient with us through the entire process. Justin is basically Corwin Ford’s Level 100 legendary Pokémon — fully evolved, max stats, every power-up activated. He was able to answer all of our questions and gave me peace of mind like no other salesman has in the past as he is truthful, knowledgeable and fair. 5/5 stars for these two men. Now financing on the other hand needs help. They lied to me that they could not under any circumstance accept a check from my credit union. I had to push and escalate and waste hours and in the end it was a possibility. This was a huge disappointment to me. It was clear that they get some kick back in some form if we do it ALL through them but I didn’t want to do it that way and they chose to send over 3 different people to ramble off nonsense before I finally made the credit union manager speak to someone on Corwin’s end. I wish I could divide the ratings as the two guys would get 5/5 stars but this situation was not ok on the financing end. Also my EDRS was not explained nor sent with me and the credit union had to ask them to mail it.

The installations are new and spacious. I was looking for an specific type of used vehicle that wasnt of stock, wanted to test drive a similar vehicle, but since I told them I wasnt gonna buy a new vehicle, the salesman told that no other vehicle was available for a test drive. I saw two brand new vehicles parked on the lot, but since I wasn't gonna buy it, no test drive I guess...Eventually I will buy a vehicle when I'm ready, but it wont be at Corwin Ford Reno.

My experience with Max and Carmella from Corwin Ford in Reno, NV was amazing. I drove up from San Jose CA after speaking with Max on the phone because he was such a big help. I told him exactly what I was looking for in a truck and he found the exact one with everything I wanted. The process was so easy and I felt like he wanted to help me find the truck I wanted and not just get my money. He was very personable which was great and he answered every question, sent pictures of the truck, and was an amazing help. It was a 20/10 experience!!

Dishonest Finance Room Tactics - Check Your Numbers Carefully! Be very careful with how Corwin Ford handles trade-ins. I was promised $44,000 for my trade-in vehicle. Instead of honoring that price on the contract, they entered $41,000 as the Trade Allowance and used Nevada’s legal Sales Tax Credit (~$3,000) to claim I was getting "$44,000 in total value." At the time, I took their word for it and signed the paperwork, assuming everything was calculated fairly. It was only afterward that I realized what had actually happened. Nevada sales tax credit applies on top of your trade-in value, not as a substitute for the dealer actually paying the agreed price. Using state tax savings to lower the trade value behind a customer's back is a textbook misleading tactic am extremely disappointed with this sneaky maneuver. Inspect the actual "Trade-in Allowance" line item before signing—what they say verbally is not what they put on paper. By the way, I really love the truck I bought.

5 star experience all around from the facilities to every person we encountered in our car purchase experience. However, one person I cannot say enough positive things about was our salesman Joseph. The search started when it was time to change my 18 year old son’s car to a bigger car. We live in the San Francisco Bay Area and my son was in Reno visiting my sister. We were in the market for a Ford Explorer and I told my son to check out Corwin Ford as they had a good inventory of certified Explorers. He had gone into a few other dealerships near our home and not well received being a young person going in by himself. The expectation wasn’t much higher this time as he went to Corwin on a busy Sunday afternoon. Joseph greeted him and took the time to show him all the options without worrying if he is wasting his time on a young person who was not a strong potential buyer. My son saw a couple of cars he liked and even test drove them. He came back home and in the following week we had a number of conversations with Joseph. He was genuine, not at all pushy, and a true gentleman in every aspect possible. There were a few hundred listings of the car we were looking for near our home as it is a simple common car. We chose to drive 4 hours to Reno and work with Joseph because of who he is. It was worth every minute of the drive and the easiest car buying experience of my life. Anyone reading this will agree if they go to Corwin and ask for Joseph. My son and I can’t thank you enough Joseph for the amazing positive energy and the beautiful car you sent us home in!!!

Went with a friend to buy a F150. For the trade in they offered me we had a disagreement about the price. I wanted them to match carmax price but they would only instead pay $1k less and count the sales tax savings as matching trade value. I got up to leave and grabbed my papers. The very aggressive sales person rudely grabbed the quote that I was holding and said I could not leave with it. He refused to let go. I finally let go of it and left. I talked to the manager, who was polite and apologetic, but that was one of the worst dealership experiences I’ve had.

Tyler was great with communication prior to/during coming in to look at a vehicle. He was able to answer any questions we had.
